Festival season is officially upon us and we are honestly SO excited because that means we can finally break out all the festival outfits and beauty looks we have been saving since last year. Coachella is kicking things off as we speak and although there’s a lot of time left in the music-filled event, the #OOTDs and #FOTDs are already making us jealous AF.
With great festival looks come great responsibility… and by “responsibility” we mean “expectations to look incredible 24/7.” As much as we love Coachella (and we LOVE Coachella), it can also be the source of major stress. What do you wear? What makeup do you bring? How do you style your hair? A lot goes into planning a trip to a music festival and honestly the thing that stresses out the most is figuring out a hairstyle.
It’s easy to choose to do floral eyeliner, or use glitter sunscreen, because they’re both non-permanent options. But choosing a ‘do takes a lot more commitment. If you want to have short hair for ‘chella then you’ll have short hair for the rest of the year. If you want to have blue highlights then you’ll have blue highlights for at least the next six months. You have to figure out if it you should really #doitforthegram or not.
Thankfully, our very own Lily Marston and Erin Robinson are giving us some tips on how to achieve the perfect non-permanent dye jobs for festival season on a new episode of Beauty Trippin. The girls visited Looks by Laurel in L.A. and Lily got — wait for it — NO-DYE UNICORN HAIR!
Yes, this means you can achieve your unicorn fantasies without all the commitment. The stylists gives the 4-1-1 on hair chalk, hair spray and the best colored extensions — basically, all the tools you need to achieve Lilz’s look. If you need us we’ll literally be painting our hair with the colors of the wind. *cue Pocahontas music*
